This component is complete and can be used. The interfaces will be supported until the function is removed from the project via the deprecation process. There will be ongoing extensions to this function, but it will be done to ensure backward compatibility as far as possible. If there is a need to break backward compatibility, this will be discussed and reviewed in the community, with a documented timeline.
Digital Business API¶
The Digital Business API provides a REST API to support user interfaces (UIs) relating to the definition and maintenance of the business context description used to identify where business value is being derived from.
Key Features¶
The Digital Business API supports the following key features:
- Business Capabilities: Define the capabilities that an organization has or needs. These can be organized into hierarchies to show how broad capabilities are supported by more specific ones.
- Digital Support: Link business capabilities to the digital services and elements that support them.
- Business Significance: Classify metadata elements to indicate their significance to specific business capabilities, providing business context to technical metadata.
