Notification

A notification is a type of action that simply requires reading. An individual may chose to take an action as a result of a notification but that is their choice.

Notifications are typically organized into a note log. For example, the My Profile API supports three types of notifications - each of which is stored in a different note log.

  • Journal Entries - these are private to the individual. They enable an individual to record details of their work and personal reflections.
  • Blog entries - these are public to the open metadata ecosystem. They are used to broadcast information and perspectives that the individual wishes to share.
  • Activity Log - these are also public to the open metadata ecosystem and record specific activities and their status.
